Often, non-Christians, and even Christians, can get the mistaken notion that Christianity is all about doing, improving, getting better and better and better — until we’re perfect. For non-Christians it can be off-putting, and for Christians it can get discouraging. But there is one thing that can save both groups: the gospel. Check this out from Lutheran pastor Rod Rosenbladt. It’s a sweet balm for any Christian who wonders why his/her life doesn’t go as smoothly as it seems it should.
Internet Monk, an extremely popular Christian blogger, who also is published in mainstream media, wrote an insightful column on the future of the evangelical church in American. Check it out at Christian Science Monitor
So we’re going to be starting this blog at Risen Christ Lutheran Church. The goal is to engage our congregation both within and outside our borders through the Internet. If you’re a member and want to contribute items you believe the rest of the congregation, or other Christians should know about, a contribution to the blog would be great. When you think about it, there isn’t anything more exiting than Jesus in this life, and so anything you have that helps others follow Him would be more than welcome.
